1st February: Proud Lilywhites vs Gay Gooners Pub Quiz

We will be hosting a pub quiz with the Gay Gooners at the Beehive Pub, Bruce Grove, Tottenham on Sunday February 1st – we’ll start the proceedings at 6pm, so get there early!

Come along and join one of the quiz teams or bring some friends and make a team of your own.

Let’s get ready to do battle against the other lot. Feel free to show your team colours and wear your team kit shirt — particularly those sporting a cockerel!

You don’t need to register, but it will help us if you do.

Proudlilywhites support London Romans – 14th Dec

Fancy a double header of Sunday football on the 14th December?

Proud Lilywhites can show their support for our local LGBT football team The London Romans FC and watch their away match v Titans 2 Brewers on Clapham Common.

If you were considering donning some boots in the future this would be a great opportunity to meet up with the team management.

After the match we will all decamp to a reserved area at The Alexandra pub for a joint social to watch Spurs play Swansea on the Big Screen at 4pm.  (please note that this is a change in venue to that advertised in the November e-Bulletin)

For both socials if you would like to come along please contact Suart using the form below:

Diversity in football – a Q&A with special guests, Oct 21st at White Hart Lane.

The Proud Lilywhites and FARE are delighted to announce a question and answer session on diversity in football during the FARE Football Weeks of Action (Oct 9-23).

The event will take place at White Hart Lane on Oct 21st at 7.30pm and will be chaired by Paul Macey from the Words of Colour collective. As a former Sports Correspondent with The Voice and as equalities trainer with Crystal Palace FC, he is versed with working on these issues in the football world.

The panel will include:

  • Troy Townsend – Education and Development Manager, Kick it Out
  • Jo Tongue, Board member, Women in Football
  • Claudia Krobitzsch – Programmes Co-ordinator, FARE
  • Darryl Telles – Co-chair, Proud Lilywhites.

 We want your questions on:

  • How do we create an inclusive atmosphere both on and off the pitch?
  • What can the various campaigns against racism, sexism and homophobia learn from each other?
  • What steps are necessary that we all need to take collaboratively and/or individually to challenge discrimination in the game?

On the night we will also be holding a prize draw, where you can win a VIP tour of the stadium, an UEFA press kit from the Partizan game and the Rainbow Laces as worn by Erik Lamela!

All you have to do is buy a raffle ticket on the night at the event.
